Min level 41 Recommended level 42 Start NPC: Tantan
Show/hide full text Tantan I search the continents for rare treasures, scouring ruins and shipwrecks for what time forgot.
By your shabby clothes, I can tell you haven't done much treasure hunting. You're in luck! I can teach you how!
Tantan The gula shipwrecks were once merchant ships—but even merchants have their secrets. Go onto the ship and search for anything out of place.
Just find the ship, then find the treasure! Never would have thought of that, huh?
Frozen Chest (This chest looks different than the others.)
Frozen Chest (It's locked. Maybe one of the drowned gula bosuns has the key.)
Tantan See! I told you. For that I should get at least...two thirds of the treasure, I think. Yes, that seems fair!
Let's open it up!
Tantan Seek and you shall find. Done talking!
Tantan Huh. It's...a map.
I mean, look! A treasure map, no doubt! Yes, I'm sure it's a treasure map.
Tantan That...is not work for a genius explorer like myself. That's codebreaker work.
See? It just looks like gibberish until you get it deciphered.
Take it to Yasper at the Beacon Point Garrison. He's great at this sort of thing, being a junior explorer to myself.
Yasper A coded map? Let me see.
Where did you get this? It's not a treasure map. It's a piece of art.
Yasper I mean it's old, and it looks like a map, but this "code" is gula writing. It's meant to be decorative.
It may be worth a little since it's so old, but only to the right collector. I'll buy it from you, if you're selling. What do you say? Search for the frozen chest around the shipwreck, Batia's Hulk, east of Frostclaw Lake. Obtain keys from the drowned gula bosuns around Frostclaw Lake. Source: Drowned Gula Bosun Deliver the keys and chest to Tantan.
The chest is open. Speak to Tantan again. Find Yasper at the Beacon Point Garrison. - Mysterious Map |
